Nonhuman animals have a right to live their lives free of suffering and exploitation by humans.
Catskill Animal Sanctuary exists to provide them with love and safety until they do.
This is a quote from the website of the Catskill Animal Sanctuary about their mission why they exist. That exactly explains how I feel about our non-human animal friends and what sanctuaries should be. A safe-place for abused victims of human greed and taste. But they do not stop here, they also officially advocates veganism and share plant-based recipes on their website.
They rescued over 4000 animals in the last 17 years and between 250 and 350 residents call the Sanctuary home at any given time. That is a lot of hard work, every single day. And that work needs to get honored.
So I am glad to announce, that for the last donation of 2018, Catskill Animal Sanctuary received in total 600$. I know not everyone is able to donate money to a good cause, but don’t be shy, there are more options to help a Sanctuary like Catskills. If you want to know what other options you have to support them, please check the their website.
